WE PROVIDE FREE COMPUTER CLASSES TO ADULTS !

Fox Valley Literacy is one of the official partners of New Boost Hidden Talent – An initiative that aims to connect participants to meaningful employment and in-demand skills-training opportunities by providing free, computer and digital skill classes.

We can help with these areas and more:

Basic computer skills

Learn how to turn on a computer and navigate the operating system.

Software Programs

Build skills to use Microsoft Excel and Word to create spreadsheets, documents, and presentations.

Managing files and folders on computer

Learn how to organize files and create backups.

Using the internet

Get comfortable using the internet to browse the web, send and receive emails, and explore social media platforms.

What is digital literacy?

The ability and knowledge needed to access and operate internet-connected devices, to successfully use commonly available software, and to navigate and utilize online resources in order to effectively communicate and complete social and work-related tasks in a virtual space.

Digital resilience

The awareness, skills, agility, and confidence to be empowered users of new technologies and adapt to changing digital skill demands.

Digital equity

A condition in which all individuals and communities have the information technology capacity needed for full participation in our society, democracy, and economy. Digital equity is necessary for civic and cultural participation, employment, lifelong learning, and access to essential services.
